Created in 2007 and first taking place in 2008, The Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch is described as the “City of London's hottest annual event".
Its principal purpose is to raise money to help those who have served in His Majesty's Armed Forces. Whilst not a “livery” event, it is widely supported by many livery companies, both through sponsorship and attendance by liverymen.
